Welcome to ChooChoo Chicago Academy, a labor of love by Mrs. Mia. Originally from Serbia, Mia pursued her education in the U.S., where her passion for childcare flourished. She initially entered the art world after earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Entrepreneurship and Art History at the City University of New York. However, her true calling quickly became evident – working with children.
Mrs. Mia’s journey continued in Chicago, where she and her husband, Goran, established ChooChoo Chicago as an in-home family childcare. Accompanied by 15+ years of childcare experience in various settings, Mia uses her reliable and reputable expertise in Art History and Studio Arts to enrich children’s lives. She is dedicated to ongoing learning and holds credentials in Early Childhood Education, Infant Toddler Care, and Illinois Directorship.
As a mother of three, Mia knows how important a nurturing environment is. She directs ChooChoo Chicago Academy, which provides a home-like feel for early development. With her team, Mrs. Mia welcomes families to a community where everyone feels valued, and children thrive in a loving, supportive environment.
